Chapel Hill

Today is day 10 of the trip and day 2 in Chapel Hill. This morning we chilled out with Juli and Lillian Fae. Frances and I finally got up and out of the house after F's morning nap. Our goal was to visit Whole Foods to pick up some lettuce and soy milk for Juli.

I, of course, was starving so I wandered over to pick something up from the food bars. I was stunned to find the taco bar and even more stunned when I turned around and found a smoked meat bar complete with smoked pulled and sliced brisket, BBQ sauce, candied sweet potatoes and cole slaw. Awh yeah!!! I filled a little box with brisket, candied sweet potatoes, and cole slaw. I picked up a bun and F and I worked our way to the check out.

On our way over I noticed the NC Botanical Garden exit. What better place to have lunch than a Botanical Garden. This was another unexpected delight. Frances and I sat in the shade of a tree in the herb garden and I stuffed smoked brisket and sides in my very happy mouth.

With my stomach full, Frances and I took a spin around the rest of the garden, it was very nice. And, I failed to mention the gorgeous weather. Today was a warm 70 and sunny. The warm sun felt awesome on my bare skin, I think that even F got some sun.

When we got back to the UNC campus, we went for a stroll with Juli and Lillian Fae. It was a delightful day.
